Giclée Process

Easily reproduce your artwork with unbelievable detail

On average, the fine art process takes between 2-4 days depending on services requested.

Step 1:
Provide a high-resolution digital file or bring in your original unframed artwork or transparency.

Step 2:
Select a print size. Whether you’ve provided a digital file or need scanning services; the image resolution is key to the quality of your print. If you’ve provided a digital file, we’ll verify the resolution is acceptable for the desired print size. We can recommend sizes that will provide you with the best quality print.

If we’re scanning your artwork, we’ll need to know how large you want to reproduce the image. Because the 9900 produces exceptional detail, we recommend images have a resolution of 250-300dpi. For example: If you had an 8×10 painting and wanted prints at 8×10, we’d scan at 300dpi. But, if you wanted to print larger at 16×20, we’d scan at 600dpi.

Step 3:
We’ll provide a reduced-size proof (approximately 8×10) on the chosen media for your approval included in the print price. Most often, images are approved, but if you would like colors adjusted or corrected we can make those changes at $25 per 15 minutes or you can provide a new file. Additional 8×10 proofs are provided for $25.

Step 4:
Print production begins.

NOTE:
As a courtesy, we will store a copy of your file on our servers for fast reprints via email or phone. In that case, we’ll need to retain the approved printed proof for color verification. (You will not need to visit for proof approval) You may choose to take home the proof and the copy of your file will be deleted from our servers and you will go through the proofing process again on your next order.
